Since 2018, Tom has been the Executive Vice President of Patent Licensing and Strategy for Innovative Foundry Technologies LLC (IFT), overseeing litigation and licensing activities associated with IFT’s patent portfolio.  That portfolio consists of over 100 US and foreign patents covering technologies fundamental to the manufacture and design of computer chips.  Tom has overseen proceedings before the US International Trade Commission (ITC), US district courts and German federal patent courts, and has managed all licensing and settlement negotiations arising out of that litigation.  Prior to joining IFT, Tom co-founded Advanced Silicon Technologies LLC (AST) in 2015.   As President and CEO of AST, Tom managed the monetization campaign for AST’s CPU and GPU patent portfolio.  Tom’s earlier career consisted of nearly twenty years as an attorney with several international technology companies, including, Cabletron Systems, Enterasys Networks, Siemens Enterprise Communications and Bottomline Technologies. In those corporate roles, Tom focused on intellectual property licensing and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation management.  Tom established and successfully managed the first monetization programs run by Enterasys and Siemens Enterprise Communications, which ultimately yielded nearly $50 million in licensing revenue for those companies.
