Michael Kelley has more than 10 years of experience assisting U.S. and international litigation funders, law firms and claimants with all of their litigation funding transactional needs, including fund formation representation for funders raising new capital. A thought- leader in the legal finance industry, Michael has been recognized by Lawdragon as a “Top 10 Global Advisor in Litigation Finance.” In addition to representing parties in litigation finance contracts, Michael is a frequent speaker on key issues in the evolving legal finance industry, including innovative structuring for the monetization of claims assets by dedicated funders, multi-strategy investors, investment banks, family offices and high net worth individuals. He also represents a large range of law firms, including AMLAW 50 through small firm practitioners, as well as both corporate and individual claimants in litigation finance transactions.

In addition to Michael’s specialization in the legal finance industry, Michael has over 25 years’ experience in both on-shore and off-shore investment funds, fund formation and the regulation of investment funds and investment advisors in the United States. He represents both inbound and outbound investors on the structuring, documentation, issuance, and management of investment funds, including providing counsel on regulatory compliance and best practices.
