Warren Hurwitz

PRESIDENT & CEO AT INNOVATIVE FOUNDRY TECHNOLOGIES

Warren Hurwitz is President and CEO of Innovative Foundry Technologies LLC (IFT), a global acquisition, development, and licensing company with worldwide global patents relating to semiconductor fabrication and packaging technologies.  Mr. Hurwitz has an extensive track record managing all aspects of successful patent monetization campaigns.  Prior to IFT, Mr. Hurwitz co-founded and managed Advanced Silicon Technologies LLC (Advanced Silicon), a private investment company with a large U.S. and International, high-tech patent portfolio which focuses on computing, graphics processing and memory controller technology.  During his tenor with Advanced Silicon, he managed a successful licensing and litigation campaign in the International Trade Commission (ITC), US District Court and German Federal Patent Court. Prior to Advanced Silicon, Mr. Hurwitz co-founded Altitude Capital Partners (Altitude) back in 2005.  Altitude was a private investment firm focused on investing in, enforcing and protecting the rights of intellectual property assets. While at Altitude, Mr. Hurwitz was responsible for sourcing opportunities; structuring transactions; conducting diligence; financial modeling, damages analyses and proceeds waterfalls; managing and monitoring attorneys, portfolio companies, experts and investment management teams; and overseeing investor relations and investor communications. 

Prior to Altitude, Mr. Hurwitz was a Senior Vice President at HSBC Capital (USA), the US-based Private Equity arm of HSBC Group, where he worked in the private equity team that invested equity and mezzanine capital in acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations in established middle-market companies. Earlier in his tenure with HSBC, Mr. Hurwitz was the CFO of the firm’s Investment Banking Division. Prior to HSBC, Mr. Hurwitz was with Nomura Securities International and Oppenheimer & Company. Mr. Hurwitz holds an MBA, with a dual concentration in Finance and Information and Communications Systems (ICS) from the Gabelli Graduate School of Business at Fordham University and graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University at Albany.
