SENIOR LITIGATION COUNSEL, BASF
Vince is currently Senior Litigation Counsel at BASF Corp., the North American affiliate of BASF SE, the world’s largest chemical company. In that role, he manages a wide array of litigation throughout North America. He also is responsible for risk management and training for BASF’s facility in Geismar, Louisiana and serves as risk management liaison to the Tax and Insurance Group. He led the formation of a corporate litigation finance committee at BASF and integrates alternative fee arrangements and financial modeling into all phases of his practice.
Prior to coming to BASF, Vincent practiced commercial litigation and products liability law at two AmLaw 200 firms. Most recently, he was named a Top 10 Thirty-Something by the Association of Corporate Counsel, a global award given annually to outstanding in-house counsel in their 30’s. He also has published numerous articles. This includes Keeping Civil Cases Civil: A Best Practices Guide from 4 Perspectives in the July 15, 2019 edition of the ACC Digital Docket. He also is a frequent contributor and promoter of diversity and inclusion for both in-house and outside counsel. As such, he was quoted in a June 2018 Harvard Law School Case Study entitled “BASF: Driving Diversity One Snapshot at a Time” and a February 8, 2019 Law 360 article entitled, “4 Reasons GCs Won’t Do Business with a Firm”. He also had his article published in the October 2018 volume of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Docket Magazine entitled “Creating Legal Chemistry: Making Diversity Part of Your In-House Legal Strategy.”
