Ms. Sally Fan is the CEO of Astraea Capital, a New York based investment management company in the litigation finance field (www.astraea-capital.com). She previously worked at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street on the buy-side of private equity, real estate and other alternative asset investment and risk management. Before then, she worked at Ford Motor Company in Michigan and in the Ministry of Aeronautics and Space in China (an equivalent of NASA).

Ms. Fan also serves as the President of the Fan Zhongyan Foundation, as a direct descendant of Fan Zhongyan, a founder of Neo-Confucianism and one of the most prominent figures in the history of China, and a direct descendant of Fan Li, a Chinese “God of Wealth”.

Ms. Fan was chosen as one of the “40 outstanding Chinese Americans for the 40th Anniversary of US-Sino Diplomatic Relationship”. At age 16, she had won the “First Award” in a national student writing competition, out of 40,000 contestants from all over the country, and started publishing nationwide.

A graduate from University of Oxford, Ms. Fan was elected as the Vice Chair of the official Oxford Business Alumni Advisory Council. Ms. Fan was also a judge and panelist at a Yale University venture capital competition.
